What makes TRP
More than anyone else, we have identified, exposed and discredited the “Victim Mentality.” We’ve also identified and made “accessible” its clear opposite—a higher standard and calling: The Totally Responsible Person®.
Victim Thinking is More Common Than We Realize
No person or organization can thrive when victim thinking, attitudes or behavior are present. And these are present more than we realize or care to admit—in ourselves, our organizations, even society at large. How many of us have heard, or said ourselves, “I just can’t function in this system?” Or, “If only Department X would do their jobs, we could do ours!” How about, “If only the government…?”
TRP® Training Enhances Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
and Helps Us Get Along with Others
We all fall into victim thinking sometimes. TRP program participants learn to recognize when they and others enter into a “victim mentality;” and how to, instead, acquire the values, virtues and character of the Totally Responsible Person®. Using practical, research-based methods, participants learn the power of choosing one’s attitudes and how to treat every circumstance as an “opportunity for learning and growth.” This increases their ability to solve problems and deal with change; it enhances emotional intelligence both at work and at home.
We can Stop “Taking Things Personally” and “Letting Things Get to Us”
Training participants also learn to eliminate behaviors such as taking things personally, letting things “get to us,” and blaming and criticizing. Participants learn to give and receive feedback, have clear purposes in life and assist others to be more responsible and effective.
All this fosters a corporate culture of personal responsibility, respect and increased success. It strengthens the individual’s and organization’s leadership, teamwork, customer service, and the bottom line.
TRP helps everyone speak the same language and get on the same page: the page of “high standards, accountability and team success.”
TRP workshops are lively, interactive and entertaining…
and use humor, video and engaging exercises. Participants leave the workshop with personalized action plans and begin using them immediately. This ensures that the training “sticks,” and leads to lasting change.
